Developing the second Te Aorerekura Action Plan

Te Aorerekura creates a framework for collective action by government, tangata whenua, specialists and communities to work together to eliminate family violence and sexual violence.

The Action Plan sets out the actions government agencies will take and what the government is accountable for in the implementation of the National Strategy. The current Action Plan ends in December 2023, and we are identifying what we have learned, to shape the development of the second Action Plan. We’d like to hear your ideas.

Send your answers to the below questions to Natalie Thomsen: Natalie.Thomsen@tepunaaonui.govt.nz

1. Do you have any feedback on the current Action Plan?

2. What has worked well, or not worked well?

3. What actions / changes / developments do you think are most important in the immediate, intermediate, and long-term to achieve the goal of eliminating family violence and sexual violence in Aotearoa?

4. Anything else you would like to add.
